ABOUT TAHA

A LEADER. A NEIGHBOR.
A COMMITMENT TO PORTERVILLE.

I am a business owner, community leader, and lifelong Porterville resident who believes in practical solutions, responsible leadership, and putting our community first. I’m running for City Council to bring people together, heal divisions, and build a stronger, safer, and more prosperous Porterville for all.

I was born and raised in Porterville. This is home.

I’ve built my life here, raised my family here, and built my business here. I’ve succeeded here, failed here, celebrated victories, and faced setbacks. Through it all, Porterville has always been home.

What makes Porterville special isn’t City Hall—it’s our people.

I’ve seen neighbors help neighbors, businesses step up for local causes, and people come together when times get tough. That’s the spirit that makes this community strong.

One thing I’ve learned is that none of us gets where we are alone. I am a product of the people who believed in me, the people who challenged me, the opportunities I received, and the mistakes I made.

Both sides matter.

Some people showed me what to do. Others showed me what not to do. Every experience helped shape who I am today.

My father taught me that trust is earned, not given. He taught me to be wise with money, careful with commitments, and protective of anything entrusted to my care. Those lessons guide how I run my business and how I approach leadership.

Like many people, I’ve faced challenges and setbacks that forced me to take a hard look at myself. Those experiences taught me humility, accountability, and personal responsibility. Most importantly, they taught me that people can change, grow, and become better versions of themselves.

For over a decade, I’ve served alongside local and statewide organizations focused on business, transportation, government accountability, and economic opportunity. My experience includes leadership roles with the Porterville Chamber of Commerce, the California Fuels & Convenience Alliance, the City Charter Review Committee, the Tulare County Transportation Advisory Committee, and the Measure R Citizens’ Oversight Committee.

I don’t believe government creates the good life. I believe people do.

The role of local government is to provide the foundation—safe neighborhoods, reliable infrastructure, fiscal responsibility, and accountable leadership—so families, businesses, and community organizations can thrive.

That’s why I’m running for City Council: to help build One Porterville, focused on solutions, opportunity, and a stronger future for everyone.

A LIFETIME OF TRUST

For decades, my family has served this community. Every day, people trust us with their paychecks, bill payments, money transfers, and other financial transactions because they know who we are.

My father taught me that trust is earned one person at a time. He taught me to be wise with money, careful with commitments, and fiercely protective of anything entrusted to my care.

Those lessons shaped how I run my business, how I serve my community, and how I would serve as your council member.

Trust isn’t something you ask for during an election.

Trust is something you earn over a lifetime.

I don’t claim to have all the answers. But I do promise this:

I will tell you the truth.

I will show you the options.

I will listen before I decide.

And I will treat taxpayer dollars with even greater care than I treat my own.

Why?

Because I understand the weight of that responsibility.

Every dollar the City spends was earned by someone. It came from a family budget, a small business, a retiree living on a fixed income, or a worker putting in long hours to provide for their family.

That money deserves respect.

It deserves accountability.

And it deserves leaders who never forget where it came from.

That’s how I’ve lived my life.

That’s how I’ve run my business.

And that’s how I’ll serve Porterville.
